Next meeting in September 2018:

  • plans for Lousal
  • longer term plans

Pilot Project at Lousal

A first goal is to install a RPC based Muon Telescope at the Lousal Ciência Viva center, and operate it remotely, 30 meters underground in a (non-active) mine environment, and exposed to visitors and even some bats.

Tomography of LIP-Coimbra

A RPC based Muon Telescope has been operating in the LIP-Coimbra detector laboratory for many years. It is used to test each new detector plane that is produced there. We can use the data also to image the building of the UCoimbra Physics department building.
