The Scientific Council (SC) is the scientific management body of LIP. It includes all PhD holders, representatives of the technical and administrative staff and representatives of the students from each LIP node.
Composition of the SC board, coordination committee and representatives
[Current mandate 2024-2025]
SC board: Alexandre Lindote (president), Raul Sarmento (Minho) and Ruben Conceição (Lisbon)
SC Technical staff representatives: Hugo Gomes (Lisboa), João Saraiva (Coimbra) and Zacarias Benta (Minho)
SC Administrative staff representatives: Elisabete Neves (Coimbra) and Natália Antunes (Lisbon)
SC Student representatives: André Torcato (Lisbon), Fernando Souza (Minho), Beymar Surco (Coimbra)
The SC delegates some of its authority to the Scientific Council Coordination Committee (C4) where all research lines are represented. The composition of the C4 is available here. Bernardo Tomé replaced Pedro Assis as C4 representative of the Cosmic Rays Line in June 2024.
