First Geophysical Campaign
This first two-day campaign took place in a selected area on the surface around the Valdemar Well and involved the following geophysical methods:
- seismic 2D (using geophones),
- georadar (with 2 antennas working in 100 MHz),
- and photogrammetry (using a drone).
The photographic record was made by Vanessa Pais, geologist of the Living Science Center of Lousal.

The LIP Lab at Coimbra University where the detectors and the new telescope are being built was visited.

Installation of the mine poster in the Waldemar Gallery, at the well site. It is located next to the MiniMu telescope and offers auxiliary information about the LouMu project during visits.

Science and Technology Week - Schools
During Science and Technology Week, LIP researchers were in primary and secondary schools, talking about topics ranging from the Higgs boson to space exploration, passing through cosmic rays and muon tomography for geological studies and women in science. A Muography talk was done in Rio Tinto High School during this week.

Lousal - CorePix Maintenance and Geologic Observation
Maintenance and changing of the CorePix gas tubes.
Observation the mine geology and geological structures, such as the faults, in the gallery that are observed in the geophysics surveys

Seismic Tomography Campaign
During three days, a seismic tomography was done in the terrain around and above the paiol 4. A setup with geophones was put inside the Waldemar gallery area close to the paiol 4 and also inside the paiol. The square grid of points of hammer strikes was done on the surface as the seismic signal that could be read on the geophones below to create a tomography of the terrain.

Thesis on muography by Magda Duarte successfully defended
Magda Duarte, member of the LouMu Particle Phisycs Group, successfully defended her Master thesis "Muon tomography: application of image reconstruction algorithms within the LouMu project". She worked on the application of the muon tomography technique to produce two-dimensional and three-dimensional images of the Physics Department building at the University of Coimbra.
